	About Fugu Ensembl Fugu Ensembl is a joint project between The IMCB and the EMBL - EBI to produce and maintain an automatic annotation of the Fugu Genome. The Fugu Ensembl project is fully integrated into the wider Ensembl. Currently, this is a preliminary portal for the annotation of Fugu which is a shotgun sequencing effort by the Fugu Consortium. Please refer to the Fugu Project's Webpage for more details on the Fugu Genome Project. Fugu Build 2c This release contains more stringent quality control procedures than the last. In particular, candidate transcripts were rejected if their "coverage" of the parent protein (that is the percentage of residues of the parent protein that align to the predicted gene) fell below a certain threshold (90% for single-exon transcripts, 70% for multi-exon transcripts).
