| 'Worked examples' are step-by-step guides through the main 'Views' that Ensembl uses to present genomic data, concentrating on tasks that biologists often want to do. After completing a worked example, you will feel much more confident about navigating the Ensembl web site. Most biologists say that they find the time invested (allow 30-60 minutes to work through the whole exercise) is time well spent!
Ensembl works in virtually the same way, regardless of the organism, so don't worry if your main species of interest does not yet have a worked example. Also, we can't always update the worked examples in time for each new release, so there may be minor differences between what you see on the live web site, and the screen shots in a worked example.
Files are provided in pdf format.
Warning: because of the inclusion of many 'screen shots', these files are large.
